Weddings at Berrow Court
Berrow Court is an award-winning wedding venue in Edgbaston, Birmingham — a Grade II listed Victorian mansion that was once the home of the distinguished politician Joseph Chamberlain. Built in the “arts and crafts” style and set in three acres of beautiful gardens, the house was restored by the Parsons family after standing empty for years, and is now one of the city's most sought-after settings for weddings, private dining and conferences.
On your wedding day the whole venue is yours. That exclusivity is the point: with over 30 years in the wedding industry and a family-run team on site, you are the only priority in the building. Five rooms are available for ceremonies and receptions, and the conservatory, gazebo and log fires make the house work as well in January as in July.
Birmingham
One of Birmingham's Wedding Venues
Couples comparing wedding venues in Birmingham usually choose between a hotel function suite and a country house an hour outside the city. Berrow Court is neither: a private historic mansion with its own gardens, ten minutes from the city centre and minutes from the Hagley Road.
| Room | Capacity | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| The Harriet Suite | 130 seated | Overlooks the gardens; the main room for wedding breakfasts, large private dining, wakes and conferences. Formerly the Garden Room. |
| The Kendrick Suite | 60 seated | An elegant garden-facing room for smaller dining, parties, ceremonies and business events. |
| The George Morris Suite | 30 seated | A characterful smaller room overlooking the grounds, suited to intimate dinners and meetings. |
| Neville's Cocktail Bar | 10 seated | The conservatory bar, available privately — cocktail training sessions can be booked for your party. |
Capacity runs to 130 seated daytime guests plus a further 170 in the evening, or up to 300 for buffet-style dining. Our in-house catering team has been recognised by the MBCC and the Midlands Food & Hospitality Awards 2023 — and if you would rather bring your own caterer or chef, that is welcome too.
Outdoors
Our Gardens & Outdoor Ceremonies
Three acres of restored gardens surround the house — lawns for drinks receptions, mature planting for photographs, and a gazebo where guests can take Pimm's while the musicians play.
